Welcome to Daniel Island

Known fondly as Charleston’s island town, Daniel Island is a master-planned community that has blossomed since 1997. Until I-526 and an exit came here, the Guggenheim family used the 4,000-acre property as a private hunting preserve, farming, and cattle ranching. DI as we call it, is formidably positioned north of the Charleston harbor and surrounded by the Wando and Cooper Rivers. Making us a true island is the convergence of the Beresford and Nowell Creeks to our north. It is convenient to downtown, the airport and additional Mount Pleasant amenities.

The island has its own pace—take your golf cart to all the conveniences and amenities for everyday life including two schools (one public/one private), restaurants, services and healthcare. It is also home to CreditOne stadium, which hosts the annual Volvo Car Open Women’s ATP tour stop (April) and thanks to a $50+Millon Dollar renovation in 2022 brings in top-name concerts to its intimate 11,000 seat setting (Kenny Chesney, Elton John, Jimmy Buffet, Eric Church). The community also recently expanded the access to water with The Waterfront complete with marina, Carefree Boat club, DI Yacht Club, and kayak launching activities. Living-wise, the Island is split along I-526 into the Daniel Island southside featuring two schools (Daniel Island public K-8) and private Bishop England High School (Catholic) there are three HOA managed pools on this side.

The island also has the private Daniel Island Club, a country club devoted to providing amenities of golf (36 holes designed by Rees Jones and Tom Fazio) tennis/fitness and social activities to its membership. Residents of DI Park must maintain social membership in the DI Club. The heart and soul of DI are its thoughtfully planned homes along marshes, live oak lined streets and bountiful green spaces and ponds throughout this beautiful island. Rob and his family reside on Daniel Island and love to showcase it’s many benefits of living here.
